At a glance

We use information to deliver educational services, manage registrations, accounts and invoices, respond to enquiries, support students, protect our systems, and improve the MTEC experience. We do not ask you to send sensitive payment credentials in chat; payments should be completed only through the official channels we provide.

1. Information we may collect

  • Identity and contact information such as your name, phone number, email address, and account information you provide to us.
  • Registration and educational-service information such as your selected program or diploma, enrollment status, group, attendance, learning progress, and student services linked to your account.
  • Conversation and support information, including messages, attachments, and notes you send through our website, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or another official support channel.
  • Transaction and finance-administration information such as invoices, payment status, payment proof you choose to upload, and finance review or approval records.
  • Basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, security logs, and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the website.

2. How we use information

  • Responding to enquiries and managing admissions, registrations, and customer support.
  • Creating and managing student accounts and the Student Portal, and delivering educational content and services.
  • Managing invoices, tracking payment status, and supporting finance review by authorized staff and systems.
  • Sending operational service updates and following up on requests, appointments, or actions connected to your account.
  • Protecting MTEC and users from misuse, fraud, and security incidents, and meeting applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzing and improving our website, services, user experience, and channel or campaign performance while respecting available user choices.

3. WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram

  • When you contact us through a Meta platform, we may receive information the platform makes available for that interaction, such as a phone number or account identifier, display name, message content, attachments, and conversation-related reference data.
  • We may associate the conversation with a customer or student record in our CRM so we can provide consistent support, reduce duplicate records, and improve service quality.
  • Meta also processes information under its own terms and privacy policies for the platform you use.

4. Automation and AI assistance

  • MTEC may use automated systems or artificial intelligence to help understand enquiries, classify intent, suggest next steps, and provide faster support responses.
  • Conversation content may be processed by technology service providers acting for MTEC to the extent needed to provide these functions.
  • Official invoice amounts, payment approvals, and finance decisions rely on MTEC system records and authorized review and are not created or approved solely by an AI-generated response.
  • A conversation may be transferred to a human employee when review, conflict resolution, or an action that should not be performed automatically is required.

5. Sharing and service providers

  • We may use trusted providers for hosting, communications, messaging, artificial intelligence, analytics, security, and other technical infrastructure needed to operate MTEC services.
  • We share information only as needed for the relevant operational or legal purpose and may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
  • We do not sell personal information as a standalone product to third parties.

6. Data retention

  • We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, administer educational or financial relationships, resolve disputes, maintain security and audit records, and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
  • Retention periods may vary by record type and purpose. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where appropriate and reasonably possible.

7. Security

  • We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to help protect information against unauthorized access, loss, and misuse.
  • No electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure, so we review controls and access methods and limit access according to operational need.

8. Cookies and analytics

  • The website may use cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, session protection, performance measurement, and understanding how the website is used.
  • You can control some cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may affect some website functions.

9. Your rights and access or deletion requests

  • You may contact us to request access to, correction or updating of, objection to certain uses of, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable laws and requirements.
  • To request deletion of information connected to an account or conversation, contact us through a method we can use to verify your identity and identify the phone number or email associated with the account and the type of request.
  • We may need to retain certain records where necessary to evidence a financial transaction, meet a legal requirement, prevent fraud, or protect legitimate rights and interests.

10. Younger users

  • If a user is a minor under applicable law, a parent or guardian may contact us regarding information and rights connected to the account where required or appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy when our services, tools, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
